FASHION-VESTIGATE: Splemo_Wears

Every week, we send our dedicated secret shopper to message these vendors for first-hand experience with their services, removing the element of gossip in our article. So today, we have our report on Splemo_Wears, which goes by @splemo_couture1 on Instagram. Our secret shopper sent them a DM for some clothes that interested them. Their response was impressively swift, and answers were easily given without waiting for a while to get a reply. 

Our secret shopper got a long pink gown, which was sold at N40,000 (forty thousand nairas), then bought A pair of black trousers with a black top, a blue jumpsuit, and a blue gown, which was on sale for N10,000 (ten thousand nairas) and paid N7,000:(Seven thousand naira) for delivery. We have to give a salute to Splemo-wears. They were fast in taking those orders, and when problems arose with the delivery, they got involved immediately and got the logistics company to deliver to our secret shopper how they were supposed to do. 

However, when our secret shopper got her items, the pink gown was precisely what was online. It looked like what was online, but the quality of the clothes did not warrant the price it was paid for; the gown's quality needed to be better for its price. It could have gone for a lot less than it was sold for, but we would give them a plus for giving our secret shopper something she asked for, but it would have been better if the quality was worth the price. The other three items she bought on sale, apart from the black trousers and black top, which was precisely the same as what was seen on their page, the blue jumpsuit and blue gown was something that looked like it was sewn by the sellers themselves. The gown was not even the one ordered; our shopper was given a different blue gown from the one she had ordered on their page. 

Overall, they are not a scam, but they need to give the appropriate prices for their clothes, as they overcharge for their items. They also need to pay attention to their customers so they do not mix up their orders. We would rate them a 7 out of 10.
